Part of this is fueled by big backlogs and strong retail and I guess no one is seeing long term inflation as an issue even though gas prices and other staple products continue to rise.

Dow Jones Rallies As Tesla Surges On Blowout Deliveries; Chinese EV Leaders Li Auto, Nio, Xpeng Are Key Movers
The Dow Jones Industrial Average briefly rallied 125 points Monday, as the stock market rally looked to kick off 2022 on a positive note. Tesla stock surged 10% on blowout deliveries. Chinese EV leaders Li Auto, Nio and Xpeng Motors also reported strong deliveries over the weekend.
Among the Dow Jones leaders, Apple (AAPL) rose 1.7% Monday, while Microsoft (MSFT) moved down 0.4% in today’s stock market. Also among the Dow 30, Home Depot (HD) continues to rebound from support, while Nike (NKE) aimed to retake a key level.

Ultra Dividend ETF’s
The last Edition of this column focused on Dividend ETFs, each of which had the word Dividend in its name. The analysis focused on identifying the best overall ETF for conservative dividend-oriented investors as an alternative core holding that had more than twice the dividend yield of the S&P 500 while collecting comparable, if somewhat lower total returns.
Our top pick was SCHD, the Schwab US Dividend ETF despite the fact that SDOG (the ALPS Sector Dividend Dogs) had a higher dividend, 3.5% as compared with 3.0%.
That said, there are investors who have reached a point in their lives where they are no longer interested in capital appreciation and are focused only on income.
